Kate Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver and originally planned to go on to medical school. But after having a powerful conversion back to the Catholic Church in college, she felt called to join FOCUS and spent the next eight years as an on-campus missionary. Kate went on to pursue a master’s degree from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences (now Divine Mercy University). After graduate school, she spent several years at Mount St. Mary’s University as a counselor and adjunct seminary professor. Kate currently lives in Denver with her husband, Greg, and works full time for St. Raphael Counseling, a ministry of Denver Catholic Charities. She also continues to work with FOCUS part-time, consulting on mental health issues.
